All taxicabs authorized to operate within the City shall be properly licensed with the California Department of Motor Vehicles, and shall further comply with all State and local laws and regulations relating to the licensing and commercial operation of taxicabs. All taxicabs shall be registered under the firm name or the name of the individual holding the owner’s permit.

No vehicle used or intended to be used in taxicab service in the City shall be rented to any owner or driver unless such owner or driver has obtained the appropriate permit(s) pursuant to this chapter. (Ord. 3450 § 1, 2010)
