The subdivision shall be designed to preserve the greatest amount of existing vegetation. Native and ornamental trees required to be preserved, as shown on the tentative map, shall not be damaged. Trees damaged, destroyed, or removed without prior authorization of the City Forester shall be replaced by the subdivider; the size and species of the replacement trees shall be determined by the City Forester.
