The subdivision and any proposed future additions shall be related to the adjacent neighborhoods. When considered necessary to demonstrate that the proposed subdivision will not preclude or inhibit appropriate uses of adjoining lands, the Public Works Director, Community Development Director, or the Planning Commission may require the subdivider to prepare a preliminary sketch plan for any or all such adjacent lands.
