Sec. 30-17. Agencies authorized to collect charges.

The County of Monterey and/or Monterey One Water are hereby authorized to collect the charges and fees assessed by this Article. The City Manager, or designee, is authorized to execute a collection and indemnity agreement with the County of Monterey and/or Monterey One Water to collect said fees and to pay the County of Monterey and/or Monterey One Water its cost of collection. If the charges and fees assessed by this Article are not collected on the tax roll, the City may contract with a third-party agent to invoice and collect payment on behalf of the City pursuant to Section 30-16(a).
