The Chief of Police shall have the authority to appoint reserve police officers who have completed training certified by the State of California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training. Reserve police officers shall have limited peace officer authority that shall extend only for the duration of the reserve officer’s specific assignment. (Ord. 3632 § 2, 2020)
