The payment of a tax imposed under this Article shall not be construed to authorize the conduct or continuance of any illegal business or of a legal business in an illegal manner. Nothing in this Article authorizes or implies the lawfulness of any activity connected with the distribution or possession of cannabis unless otherwise authorized and allowed in strict and full conformance with this code. Nothing in this Article shall be applied or construed as authorizing the sale of cannabis. (Ord. 3657 § 1, 2022)
